House District 56

House District 56 stretches across three counties including Canadian, Caddo and Grady.

The district starts west of Carnegie and stops just west of Chickasha.

The district starts south of Anadarko and goes north into El Reno. Other cities in the district include: Union City, Minco, Verden, Washita, Fort Cobb, Binger, Gracemont and Pocasset.

Agriculture is the major industry in District 56, and includes cattle ranching and significant wheat and peanut farming operations.

Rep. Richardson seeks to represent the importance of the agriculture industry to Oklahoma as the Chairman of the House Committee on Wildlife.
